MPA Digital is an independent digital marketing company based in Preston, Lancashire. Established in 2014, we provide website design, website redesign, WordPress development, website maintenance and search engine optimisation (SEO) services to businesses across Lancashire and the North West.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, MPA Digital is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the rights you have. We handle your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. Information we collect

- Technical information – when you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our services are aimed at businesses.

- comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Our lawful basis for using your information
We only use your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the circumstances, this will be:
- Contract – where we need to use your information to provide a quote or deliver services to you;
- Legitimate interests – for example, responding to enquiries, running and securing our business and improving our website, where this is not outweighed by your rights;
- Legal obligation – where we must keep certain records, such as financial records; and
- Consent – where you have agreed, for example to non-essential cookies or marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share your information with
We keep your information confidential and only share it where necessary. This may include:
- service providers who help us run our business and website, such as website hosting, email, analytics, accounting and payment providers;

- professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where we are required to do so by law.
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected, in line with UK data protection law.

8. How we protect your information
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
